On May 29 2024 the proxies of the 43rd Extraordinary General Meeting of the Central Cooperative Union launched the Initiative "FUTURE with COOP – Let’s plant a tree" by planting trees in the park of the hotel complex "COOP - Kiten", city of Kiten.
The initiative "Future with COOP – Let’s plant a tree" was announced by the Central Cooperative Union on the occasion of the 102-nd International Cooperative Day and was dedicated to 180 years since the beginning of the cooperative movement in the world and to 2025 – year, declared by the United Nations as the Second International Year of Cooperatives.
According to the information provided in the CCU, 29 cooperative organizations participated in the initiative, which organized the planting of trees and flowers in 24 settlements. The 8 Cooperative unions are: Varna, Vidin, Vratsa, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Sofia, Stara Zagora and Shumen, Burgas, Lovech, 7 cooperative commercial societies and the CCU.
In the events organized by them, representatives and member-cooperators of another 32 cooperatives from Varna, Sofia and Stara Zagora, mayors of settlements, children from partner kindergartens and schools, etc. took part.
A total of 353 photos and 15 videos were sent.
